Saturday July 14th (3pm - 5pm) Logmark books in Cheboygan is hosting a book signing. Sever other authors will be there as well - come meet them all! Friday July 20th (6 pm - 9 pm) There will be a signing at the Bookmark in Ludington MI. Ludington is right on the shores of Lake Michigan and has a beautiful public beach and light houses. We'll have cookies and refreshments on site. Across the street is The Kettle -- a restaurant with family sized portions! Bear Lake is also near Thompsonville, for those of you who like to swim. Kaleva is a short jog south and boasts a house made from glass bottles! Worth checking out if you're in the area. Their friendly staff will even gift-wrap or ship your purchases. Leland is set between the shores of Lake Michigan and the pristine Lake Leelanau offering swimming or walks on the beach of either lake…or both! Main Street is filled with shops offering art and other wears from local artists. Also nearby is Leland Harbor offering fishing charters and trips to the Manitou Islands. Marquette is a lovely city nestled on the shore of Lake Superior. There are lighthouses to visit, waterfalls, museums, art galleries and lots of shops! They have a charming café that serves fresh coffee, ice cream, bagels, brats and soups as well as a soda fountain. It's a nice place to relax and chat. Other things to do in Munising include - swimming, walking the shores of Lake Superior, hiking, taking a boat tour of Pictured Rocks or tour the Grand Island National Recreation area.
